My name is Zelia Pavao, aka Sally, and I have worked in the travel industry for more than a decade.

My first teacher when I migrated from Pico, Azores in the 3rd grade told me that my name translated into "Sally" in the English language. What did I know? This misinformation has led to lots of confusion and explanations...and the name of my business!

After growing up in Rhode Island, I married my husband of over 38 years, Jim. He coaches football, and being a football coach's wife has given me the opportunity to live in many places including 16 years in Maryville, Tennessee and several towns in Georgia.

We currently live in Clarkesville, Georgia but spend plenty of time in the Atlanta-area to see our adult children and three grandchildren, Blakely, Beckham, and Rose.

In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy exercising, hiking, reading, watching football games, and lots of travel.

Many years ago, my husband did some research on what he may do when he retires many moons down the road. He didn't find anything of interest, but he did mention the possibility of a travel agency. If you know my husband, you will understand that this concerned me - he is a football coach and not a sit behind a desk kind of guy! The wheel started turning and I soon began Vacations by Sally.

I specialize in all-inclusive resorts for families, multi-generational groups, couples, and adults in Mexico, Dominican Republic, and the Caribbean. During Covid I pivoted my business to include domestic travel, including National Parks.  Planning custom itineraries for clients in Europe has also become a favorite.

Honeymoons are a passion of mine.... I enjoy getting to know happy couples that are excited about starting their lives together. After all the wedding planning, one of the most important things for these couples is to relax at the beach with a cold beverage and delicious snack in their hand.

There are so many wonderful resorts and destinations - and you want someone who has either been to that property or has the ability to speak with fellow travel advisors who have experienced that resort and destination, and that is where I can be your best resource.

I have earned specialist recognition on Hawaii, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Virgin Voyages, Viking River Cruises, Royal Caribbean, AMResorts, Karisma Resorts and Sandals Resorts and more.

I'm passionate about helping others experience their dream vacation.

There is nothing like listening to my travel clients tell me how much they enjoyed their vacation and how they cannot wait to experience another one. I listen to what my clients tell me they want to experience and then I go to work to make that experience a reality.
